Read the article "How Geniuses Think." Respond to the following: Describe the author's interpretation of Genius and how it differs from conventional definitions of Genius. What are the shared strategies of geniuses? How does your Genius Hour project encourage you to use some of these strategies?
In this article, the author points out that researchers came up with data that showed that a lot of geniuses were the way they were because of their parents, or lack of. He also noted that intelligence was also looked at, but just being intelligent does not make a genius. People with extremely high IQ's are not always considered a genius, and the people that have lower IQ's, but do extraordinary things, are considered geniuses. Some of the strategies that geniuses use are they look at problems in many different ways, they make their thoughts visible, they produce work, they make novel combinations, force relationships, think in opposites, think metaphorically, prepare themselves for chance. My genius hour project encourages me to do some of these strategies. I am looking at trying to teach guitar chords in different ways so that most people can understand them in the best way easily. I am making my thoughts visible with this project, by making this website and this blog.
